Tax Planning That Moves With you.

Think of your financial life as a series of connected decisions, each one setting the next in motion.

At SPW Tax, we don’t just focus on where you are today. We help design the path ahead, ensuring that each move—income planning, investment strategy, charitable giving, equity compensation—works together with intention.

Because when your tax strategy is built proactively, everything flows more smoothly, and nothing is left to chance.

We believe tax planning is an essential lever for long-term wealth preservation.

At the heart of our approach:

Planning, Not Just Preparation
We don’t just look back at what happened last year — we plan ahead to help you make better decisions in the current and future tax years.

Integration Across Every Strategy
Your tax strategy is connected to every financial decision from how you invest, to how you give, to how you pass wealth to the next generation. We make sure those pieces work together.

Meet Your SPW Tax Guide

Deborah earned her undergraduate degree in accounting from the College of William and Mary and later completed her MBA at Wake Forest University. Deborah spent much of her career in public accounting, where she specialized in serving high-net-worth individuals and wealth management clients. Her clients provided her with in-depth experience with investments in private equity, venture capital, real estate and foreign assets. In the private sector, she expanded her expertise into related areas, including financial duties for a well-known real estate investor, trust taxation and administration, closely held business valuations, and estate planning.

In addition to compliance work, Deborah focused on tax planning strategies including charitable giving, tax-free real estate exchanges, asset diversification, timing of stock option exercises and wealth transfers. Outside of work, Deborah enjoys spending time with her two grown children who live nearby. She is passionate about animal rescue, and her family includes several beloved “foster fails.” She also enjoys creative projects as a way to relax and unwind.
